The title of this blog should be titled "Feelin' OLD when I'm not Old"...

So this past weekend I was at my aunt's house in NJ... and my 13-year-old cousin Vivian declared something to be "soooooo '90s." :-o

What?!

I was like, girl, what ARE you talkin' about... man, the '90s still feels like yesterday. If that's the catchphrase nowadays, I am really out of it. (Not that I was really in it in the first place, heehee. I was not exactly cool when I was her age!) And then I was playing Scattergories with her and naming all these things from BEFORE her time (but not before mine!!!).

Don't get me wrong - I didn't take offense to it, I just thought it was hilarious. Being the oldest of all of my cousins, they probably figure I'm used to it. ;-) Like the conversation I had with 18-year-old Alice a few months ago...

Alice: Let's see. You're 22, right?
Me: Yup.
Alice: Your mom was 22 when she got married, right?
Me: Yeah.
Alice: And my mom was 22 when she got married.
Me: Uh-huh.
Alice: So what are you waiting for? Get a freakin' move on!!

Hahahaha! Yeah, they might be younger than me, but they sure do like to tell it to me straight. I love 'em, even if they do think I'm an old maid and out of touch at the ripe ol' age of 22. :-D I know for a fact that some of them will be married before me. Wei will, for sure - and Amy, maybe? She's the prettiest and sweetest one we have. And then Alice and I are running a distant race for third. :-)

Ok, Alice, I'm workin' on it... ;-) Lookout, the old maid might just beat you to the altar! :-D
