Which Tai are You?

October was an insane month... sorry for not being able to provide you with any entertainment from the Sistah T end of things. But now I'm back... and to make up for being away from my blog for so long, here's a fun entry: the "Which Tai are You?" quiz.

Basically, this was inspired by the differences between the three members of my immediate family. I may add some extended family members later, but since most of you know my parents... well, this should be fun for you. ;-) So here goes:

1. In social situations, you are most likely:
A. An extrovert
B. An introvert
C. Depends on the people you are with at the moment

2. You are taking one of those personality quizzes that ask you to pick one answer and then score it (kinda like this one). When deciding between two choices that you view as equal, you:
A. Pick one and get on with it
B. Insist on picking more than one and average the scores of your choices
C. Quit taking the quiz. These are dumb questions anyway.

3. You like cars that are:
A. Silver
B. Blue or black
C. Fire-engine red

4. Your favorite phrase that you use when giving advice is:
A. Use your brain.
B. Don't fool yourself.
C. You may not understand what I'm saying now, but someday you will.

5. You are most annoyed with people when they are:
A. Dishonest or tricky.
B. Boring.
C. Clingy or a moocher.

6. What are your eating habits like?
A. Eat what I want, when I want
B. Eat a structured meal at the same time every day
C. Try to stick with structured meals, but deviate every once in a while

7. Your ideal conversation topic would be:
A. Something academic that I know a lot about
B. Something that allows me to howl in laughter
C. Sports, music, politics, the opposite sex, careers... anything!

8. People generally describe you as:
A. Quiet and a thinker
B. Impulsive and fun-loving
C. Practical and outspoken

9. In a new or unfamiliar situation, you are:
A. Cautious, slow to take action
B. Risk-taker, act right away
C. Base the decision on the situation

10. Your friend wants to know if you like his/her haircut. You think it's hideous, but you would say to him/her:
A. "As long as you like it, I'm happy."
B. "Why are you asking me?"
C. "It's hideous. What were you thinking?"

Scoring:
1. A=E, B=J, C=M
2. A=M, B=E, C=J
3. A=E, B=J, C=M
4. A=J, B=E, C=M
5. A=J, B=E,C=M
6. A=E, B=J, C=M
7. A=J, B=E, C=M
8. A=J, B=E, C=M
9. A=J, B=E, C=M
10. A=M, B=J, C=E

If you answered mostly J's:
You are a Jimmy. Quiet and cautious, you are extremely intelligent, but you prefer not to express your intellect in words. It takes people a while to get to know who you are, but it's not that you're unfriendly - you're just more reserved, so people don't always know what you're thinking. You take your responsibilities seriously and are very direct with your thoughts, which you don't share unless asked for. You're opinionated, but only your closest friends know that. You like honest people. You play by the rules.

If you answered mostly E's:
You are an Eva. You are the life of the party. Your emotions are usually very apparent and you're easy to read. You usually appear happy and energetic, but no one should get on your bad side because you will explode into a tirade of sharp-witted insults. You value your freedom most of all - you are a very creative individual who thinks very differently from most people. You break rules when you believe that they either don't make sense or are restricting you from being yourself. You are the fish swimming the other way.

If you answered mostly M's:
You are a Mary Ann. You have a very complex personality due to the fact that you have very unique parents. Thus, you tend to react depending upon the group or situation. You like to try and balance things out - you lead or follow depending on who you are with. When you're with one parent, you act like the other one. You remind people of both of your parents - usually, Chinese people think you are like your dad and non-Chinese people think you are like your mom. You are opinionated like a Jimmy, but you are more likely to express yourself like an Eva. You're a melting pot of personalities.

If you answered approximately an equal number of J's, E's, and M's:
You are not a Tai. In fact, I don't know what you are. :-D
