As many of you know, our good friend Vasu Gutti passed away in a car accident on May 31, 2004. My Case friends and I are still going through the shock and pain of losing him. Please keep his family in your prayers.

Every day this week I have woken up in bewilderment - wondering how it all could have happened so fast, still not believing that it did happen. And each day I have gone through short, sudden bursts of tears for a true friend that we will never see again. He had so much going for him - and in such a short instant, it was all gone.

Healing is a process that takes time and God. I thank God for our group of friends - that we could pull together in this time of tragedy and grief and be there for Vasu. He would have loved seeing us all gathered in one place as we were during his funeral this past Wednesday. Vasu would want us to keep in touch and to be there for each other - let us continue to do so. Thank you God, for the time we were given to share with Vasu.

Our lives will never be the same without you, Vasu - thank you for all of the hugs you gave, thank you for the talents you shared with us, thank you for your generosity, thank you for the times we howled in laughter. Thank you for teaching us to value friendship. We love you and miss you, and you will never be forgotten.

I'll hear your voice
In every thought that flows through my mind
I'll see your face
In every cloud that floats through my sky
And when the world is too much
and the hurt's got me down on my knees to pray
I'll hear your voice
and you won't be so far away

chorus from "I'll Hear Your Voice" by Rockapella
