White Sox vs. Red Sox

The title says it all. I went to the ChiSox/BoSox game last night with Megan, Sam, Stu, and 35 Equinox students. Amazingly, NO ONE was there to root for the White Sox - we had kids wearing Red Sox, Yankees, Twins, and Mets apparel. (I think one kid even had a Tigers hat on!!) And the White Sox fans are the most apathetic fans I have ever seen at a professional sporting event. (Or maybe I'm just used to Detroit fans who like to beat up other fans...) No one does the wave, no one really even cheers all that loud. It made me miss the Cubbies and Wrigley Field. :-(

But that aside, I had a blast. I love going to baseball games of ANY sort. I'm not a huge fan of any one baseball team, having moved around/lived in various areas, but I just love going and seeing the game live. And now that I think about it... last night was the first baseball game I've been to where the home team won. Go figure. :-D The score? White Sox 8, Red Sox 4. I thoroughly enjoyed myself as there were plenty of good plays during the game. And who knows if I'll ever get to see the BoSox play again?

Enjoy some highlights:

This was our view. Yeah, $23 for nosebleed seats - but I liked the stadium design better than the Jake, actually!
Nosebleed seats can kiss my butt... thanks to my 6x zoom! :-D Ok, so it's not that special, but it was better than anything anyone else with me had. Here's Johnny Damon of the Red Sox.
Fireworks after the 1st White Sox home run... there were two in the same inning that evening, and each brought in three runs!! So I was pumped.
Megan (RTA for Research Methods) and I were so excited to see this game!
